The latest version of Bystronic's midrange Xact CNC-synchronized press brake incorporates the Windows® XP 2-D graphics-based Cybelec DNC 880S control system, capable of selecting bend sequences automatically.
The press brake, which features an optional four-axis backgauge, allows standard active hydraulic crowning capability that can deliver exact bend angles across the entire bed length, the company reports. The press brake can accommodate all types of punches and dies with appropriate adapters.
Features include a high rigidity-to-weight ratio; independently mounted precision linear scale encoders that monitor ram position; parallelism and ram movement controlled to within ± 0.00004-mm accuracy; a graphics-based DNC; and 2-D visualization of part processing, simulation of bending cycles, and collision monitoring.
