Die clamping system maintains absolute press brake die alignment

Wila USA has introduced the new V-Lock® die clamping system. A self-seating groove has been added to the tang of all New Standard®, American, and American Vintage® dies with V-openings of 2.362 in. and smaller. This feature is combined with a new generation of clamping pins to be provided with the company’s crowning systems and bottom toolholders with hydraulic die clamping.

This system offers absolute die alignment along both the X and Y axis of the press brake and positive clamping of individual die sections, so that even the smallest sections cannot be moved out of position inadvertently during sheet handling.

The system prevents the movement of individual die sections during press brake bending operations. All of the company’s dies equipped with this die clamping feature can be used in hydraulically and manually operated die holders.
