Electric tube bender has 6.5-in., three-stack capability

Lang Tube Tec GmbH has introduced the 160CNC-EMR automatic tube bending machine. The multiradius bending machine, which handles a maximum tube OD of 6.5 in., can bend three stacks with 1xD bending capability in stainless steel.

The bender has 13 CNC axes, including interpolation for cycle time improvements and specific bending cycles. It is suitable for vehicle exhaust pipe parts, as well as frame parts for hydroforming applications.

The separate bend die return feature allows the return of the bend die separately from the bend arm. For complicated part shapes, a heavy-duty transport boost system works with a heavy-duty rack-and-pinion system to apply a boost force of 80 kN or more, which allows minimized clamp length and extremely tight-radius bending.

The quick tool change system has swing-away tie rods and slide-in clamp die and pressure dies. As an option, the machine can be provided with an automatic tool changer to allow the change of preset tool arrangements.
