Panel bender available with automatic blank holder adjustment

The all-electric Salvagnini P1 panel bender for 2016 is a smart, adaptive machine newly redesigned for flexible kit and single-piece part production.

According to the company, the panel bender delivers up to three times the throughput of a press brake and zero setup time, making it a suitable addition to the user’s manufacturing infrastructure. It offers the features of the company’s larger panel benders: automatic blank holder setup, universal tooling, brief cycle times, and programming software for 2-D drawings and for 3-D models that adds built-in skill and craftsmanship to the part forming process.

New features include asymmetric auxiliary bending capability for making interrupted bends of up to 25 in., automatic blank holder adjustment, and last bend down capability.

The machine forms simple and complex parts with no operator intervention. Setups take 4 seconds; individual bends take 2 seconds. The machine consumes 3 kW of power during operation and occupies 86 sq. ft. of floor space.
