Press brake combines features of hydraulic, electric, hybrid systems - TheFabricator.com

Salvagnini offers the B3 KinEtic press brake. According to the company, the machine can reach speed and power levels similar to those of a hydraulic press brake while delivering the accuracy of an electric press brake and maintaining the consumption of a hybrid system, all managed by the proprietary SiX controller.

Both the top and bottom of the press are completely closed, adding to stability and keeping the reference positions constant throughout the bending phase. The press brake employs direct-drive transmission and brushless motorization, with no proportional valves. The up and down movements of the top beam can reach 8.66 IPS.

The PressStudio programming software, based on a native 3-D model, is used for graphical and numerical programming and for production management. The software can be completed with an expert database feature that allows it to learn and subsequently correct the bending parameters according to the type of bend, the material, and the tools used.
