Tube bending tooling alternative to solid wiper tooling

Bend Tooling Inc. has introduced the patent-pending High-Pressure Wiper System™ as an alternative to solid wiper tooling.

It is an assembly consisting of a solid steel body, a single- or double-sleeved bore insert that can be replaced without removing the system from the machine, and an adjustable stabilizer located on the radius face to set and reset the system to hold a setup.

The system is designed to handle extreme bends in which the wiper must be set with little or no rake. It is suitable for bending thin-wall stainless steel, nickel alloy, titanium, and copper tubing for aerospace, defense, boiler, automotive, and shipbuilding applications.
