Automatic nozzle functions help decrease assist gas consumption

Bystronic offers the BySpeed Pro and BySprint Pro laser cutting machines. The systems’ automated nozzle functions help ensure the correct nozzle size is selected for each material type and thickness, which the company says decreases assist gas consumption while increasing productivity and safety.

The automatic nozzle changer can change nozzles after a preset number of pierces and select a new nozzle from more than 40 available options. Each nozzle change takes seconds to complete, and centering is automatic. If the machine detects a nozzle contact while cutting, the system will perform a nozzle-centering routine automatically.
