Laser cutting machine developed to operate autonomously

Bystronic Inc. will introduce the new ByAutonom 3015 laser cutting machine to the North American market during its Open House in June. In combination with an automation system such as the ByTrans, ByTower, or ByCell, the machine can be operated lightly attended.

Features such as an automatic lens cassette changer, automatic nozzle changer, and automatic nozzle centering help reduce the labor tasks associated with laser setups and attended operations. In the event of nozzle contact with a cut part, the system automatically recenters the nozzle and continues with cutting.

Options include incorporation of the ByLaser 4400 or ByLaser 6000-W CO2 laser sources, as well as a rotary axis for the processing of tube profiles.

The Condition Messenger control system graphically displays the status of individual components and indicates when components such as the laser source, nozzle changer, focal length changer, and beam path should be checked. Integrated in the machine control package, the Maintenance Messenger control system displays when the machine and laser source are due for maintenance.
