3-D viewing software updated for improved mobile functionality
Kisters has introduced release 2016 of 3DViewStation WebViewer. This version provides extremely fast 3-D viewing, advanced analysis, and digital mockup for browser-based viewing and mobile users of tablets, smartphones, and notebooks. No client installation is required.
The program ships with current and mature CAD importers for formats including CATIA®, NX, Creo, SolidWorks®, SolidEdge®, JT, 3D-PDF, and STEP, plus a set of functional tools to view and analyze 3-D CAD data. Mobile users get the same performance, APIs, and functionality previously available only to desktop users.The new version has been set to optimize the handling of extremely large assemblies and enhancements of the analysis functions, the company reports. The graphics kernel has been optimized to cut load times in half in 3DVS file format and to reduce memory usage 60 to 70 percent, states the company. Also, the size of 3DVS files has been reduced by 20 to 30 percent.
