Plasma torch height control has two torch stations

ITT Corp., through its wholly-owned subsidiary Cleveland Motion Controls Inc., has announced the release of the SmartHC Plasma Torch Height Control. The control is fully integrated with the Burny Phantom and Phantom CNCs.

The control box has up to five 400W AC brushless drive amplifiers&$8212;two or three for machine motion and one or two reserved for torch height control. The simple-to-program, PC-based controller features up to two torch stations; collision protection system with auto height correction; maximum retraction speed of 600 IPM; software servo control loop; arc voltage control; initial height positioning; programmable partial raise; corner height disable; and retraction delay.
