Automatic cutoff length control system introduced

T&H Lemont has introduced an automatic cutoff, length control system.

The controller is the equivalent of a personal computer in a rugged industrial enclosure. Programs to perform length control tasks are stored in programmable read-only memory (PROM). The system is compatible with Windows® networks.

The controller uses a liquid crystal display (LCD) and keypad for operator interface. The LCD has 15 lines of display, 40 characters per line, and the keypad has 39 keys for data entry. Scrolling through available drop lists allows for selection of nonnumeric data. Drop lists and programs are entered by the manufacturer before shipment to the customer, which enables virtual plug-and-play installation.
