Filler metals meet seismic application requirements

Hobart Brothers offers 16 metal-cored and flux-cored wires that meet the AWS D1.8/D1.8M Structural Welding Code-Seismic Supplement for demand-critical welds in seismic-moment, frame-welded connections. These filler metals have been three-lot tested in accordance with AWS D1.8/D1.8M:2009 testing requirements and meet the requirements specific for their diameter and shielding gas (where applicable).
Included in the line are Hobart® Fabshield® XLR-8 self-shielded flux-cored wire, Tri-Mark® Metalloy® Vantage™ metal-cored wire, and Hobart® FabCO® Hornet gas-shielded flux-cored wire.
