Metalworking fluid features enhanced detergency

Chemtool Inc.’s NuSoL® Alumax 89 is formulated for use on nonferrous alloys; exotic ferrous alloys, including titanium, INCONEL® alloys, and MONEL® alloys; plastics; and composites.

New surfactant technologies promote and enhance detergency for clean parts and machine surfaces. Other additives resist the negative effects of hard-water soap formation and aluminum soap formation from nonferrous operations.

The product exhibits a small, stable particle size (~ 1 micron), which results in excellent wetting, detergency, and boundary lubrication, the company reports.

In addition, its performance is complemented by a new surfactant package that demonstrates lower foaming characteristics for use concentrations of 5 to 15 percent.
