Tungsten electrode grinder grinds electrodes longitudinally

Huntingdon Fusion Techniques HFT® has re-initiated the manufacturing of the TEG-2 tungsten electrode grinder under the new name of TEG-1000.

Available from Cob Industries, the grinder produces repeatable tungsten electrode points, enabling consistent, repeatable arc performance and welding results, according to the manufacturer. The 1.0- to 3.2-mm sizes are standard, with others available on request.

A collet accessory holds shorter electrodes, which can help increase the life of each electrode before it is discarded. The diamond wheel grinds the electrodes longitudinally to help prevent arc flicker or wander caused by circumferential lines or ridges.
