France-based Darius Technologies has developed a new technology for packing wire in tapered (conical) drums. Empty drums can be nested by 10 or more and require limited storage space.
The wire loops are arranged in a specific pattern that fits the drum’s tapered shape. A specially adapted retainer ring facilitates smooth, tangle-free unwinding, the company says. No equipment change is required, either at the producer’s or the end user’s location.
