100-W laser marker available in air-, water-cooled models

Synrad Inc. has added the firestar t100, a small-footprint 100-W laser, to its t-series lasers. It is available in both air- and water-cooled versions.

The laser features fast rise and fall times, making it suitable for applications such as complex metal marking in which high-speed throughput and pulsing capabilities are critical, the company says.

All t-series lasers share a standard footprint and have typical rise times of better than 75 ms. and mode quality numbers (M2) of 1.1 + 0.01.
