Abrasive belts, discs deliver fast cutting

Norton | Saint-Gobain has introduced the Norton Red Heat R983 line of abrasive belts and discs. The ceramic grain delivers sharp, fast cutting and resistance to wear, the company states.

Designed for grinding and polishing of INCONEL® alloy, stainless steel, and carbon steel, the discs and belts are suitable for a variety of applications in markets such as welding, MRO, transportation, and aerospace.

The weave of the red Y-Plus weight and an engineered backing create a greater surface area, allowing more adhesion points for grain retention and less grain shed and edge wear.
