Norton | Saint-Gobain has launched a product line expansion of its Neon abrasive products. They feature a proprietary grain technology and a resin bond system for improved grain adhesion. The line includes fiber, flap, and cloth quick-change discs and file and narrow belts.
They are suitable for use on soft metals, hard-to grind stainless, and carbon steel in light to moderately demanding metal fabrication, MRO, primary metals, investment castings, and foundry applications.
The R766 general-purpose flap disc has aluminum-oxide blend flaps. With a grit range of 36 to 120, it is available in Type 29 conical and Type 27 high-density flat styles. The R766 cloth quick-change disc features a premium abrasive and AO blend in 24 to 80 grit. It is available in three quick-change attachment systems: TS (Type II), TR (Type III), and TP (Type I).
R766/R766X file and narrow belts have a premium abrasive and AO blend for general-purpose applications. They are available in standard styles or can be custom-made for specific requirements.
F726 AO resin fiber discs are available in grits from 24 to 120. They feature an improved resin bond system and heavy-duty fiber backing.
