Fiber laser cutting machines handle large sheets

LVD Strippit has introduced the Phoenix FL 4020 and Phoenix FL 6020, two new fiber laser cutting machines designed to handle sheet dimensions of 160 by 80 in. and 240 by 80 in., respectively.

Available in 3-, 4-, and 6-kW versions, the new machines cut thin and thick steels as well as nonferrous metals. The CNC automatically controls and adjusts the focus position and focus diameter, allowing the cutting of different sheet thicknesses.

Features include an uprated drive system, 1-μm fiber wavelength, and a welded steel frame. The integrated control and drive system help ensure high reproduction of programmed contours at fast processing speeds, says the company. The integrated, automatic shuttle table system allows one table to be loaded while the machine is cutting on the other table.
