Portable plasma cutter delivers 6.5 kW of output power
Hypertherm has released the Powermax45 XP® plasma cutting system, delivering 6.5 kW of output power for clean cutting of material up to 5/8 in. thick and severing of material nearly twice that thickness.
A new low-amp process simplifies marking, scoring, and precision gouging. Eleven torch styles are available for hand-held and mechanized use, along with a variety of consumable types.
The portable system comes with a new Duramax™ Lock torch, which has a torch-disable switch for quick replacement of consumables; a FastConnect™ torch to switch quickly between different torches; and Smart Sense™ technology that adjusts gas pressure and flow automatically.
