Virtual system helps students learn robotics skills

MotoSim® Touch from Yaskawa Motoman is a PC-based, off-line programming environment and robotics simulation tool for schools, training organizations, and educational research institutions. It provides instructors and students with a fully functional production environment for Yaskawa industrial robots and an FS100 controller.

Students can toggle between a virtual pendant and a hardware pendant. In either mode, they use MotoSim EG-VRC for Education, a comprehensive offline programming and simulation software package. The virtual pendant and hardware pendant both use the company’s Inform III programming language.
