Module adds I/O capability to motion controllers

Delta Computer Systems Inc. offers the Exp70-D8 expansion module for providing discrete I/O capability to the company's RMC70 series motion controllers. Inputs and outputs in these modules can be arranged in any software-configurable combination of eight inputs or outputs. A maximum of four expansion modules can provide up to 32 discrete I/O.

The module has an input range of 12 to 24 V, while the outputs can switch 100 mA in the same voltage range. Initial production releases for both serial and Profibus communications and MDT/SSI transducers include the RMC75S-MAx-D8 and RMC75P-MAx-D8 (each one or two axes).
