Tungsten grinder provides consistent tip geometry

Diamond Ground Products offers its DGP-3-V2 grinding system that provides ground arc welding electrodes cut to length with consistent tip geometry for automatic arc welding. An optional vacuum system removes dust.

According to the manufacturer, the system results in improved weld quality, reduced arc wander, superior arc starting, consistent arc shape, long electrode life, and elimination of tungsten inclusions through the reduction of electrode spitting or shedding.
