DocMagnet Inc. offers the Pick and Place (PNP) magnetic material handling system, a line of end-of-arm tooling products for use on robotic fixtures. The permanent-electro magnet uses only electrical power to switch the magnet on or off. Electrical power is not required to maintain the magnetic force, making it fail-safe.

The unit comes in a variety of standard shapes and sizes but also can be designed and engineered to fit most applications. Safe working loads on standard models are from 50 to 1,200 lbs. for automation, with maximum clamping force from 250 to 6,000 lbs.

The PNP also comes in a demagnetizing version for the removal of residual gauss in critical components.
