Feed system achieves nested pattern in small footprint

The WigWag™ feed from Dynamic Feeds Inc. achieves a zigzag (nested) pattern in a small footprint by pivoting motion.

The system is controlled by a single software package and uses CAN bus communication protocol and a B&R Power Panel 251 as a visualization device with integrated control functions. System setup and calibration are simplified and require no computer training to enter job parameters. Once parameters are entered, the controller automatically calculates the optimum movement to deliver material in a simultaneous X-Y movement for high-speed material delivery.

Up to 100 jobs can be stored, and on-the-fly width adjustment and material centering are provided. It also includes a modem for off-site analysis and maintenance to be performed via telephone lines.
