Inverter-based power source designed for high-productivity welding

ESAB Welding & Cutting Products will display the Aristo® Mig 4004i Pulse power source at FABTECH. It can be combined with the Aristo Feed 3004 or Aristo Feed 4804 wire feeder to form a complete GMAW package. The feeds are offered with a choice of machine interface — the user-friendly U6 or more advanced U82 control panel — to help boost productivity, enhance weld quality, and reduce operating costs through lower energy consumption, according to the manufacturer.
The Aristo Mig 4004i Pulse is a lightweight, multiprocess welding power source that can be used for GMAW, pulsed GMAW, manual metal arc welding, or GTAW. The pulse function makes the power source suitable for advanced, spatter-free welding in aluminum and stainless steel.
The new inverter-based power source is more than 25 percent more energy-efficient than conventional welding equipment, says the company. The electronically controlled unit also weighs 70 percent less than comparable units and has a footprint that is 80 percent smaller, making it portable and easy to use in confined spaces.
