Multiprocess power source introduced

ESAB Welding & Cutting Products has introduced Warrior, a multiprocess power source and feeder. It is designed for shipbuilding, railcar construction, mobile machinery construction, energy generation construction, pipe welding, general fabrication, and repair and maintenance applications.
Developed for GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, and arc gouging, the unit delivers up to 500 amps at 60 percent duty cycle. It carbon arc gouges with electrodes up to 0.375-in. dia., welds 0.030- to 0.078-in. flux-cored and solid wires, and has a variety of SMAW capabilities with excellent 7018 and 6010 performance, the company reports.
The power source's air tunnel design creates a dirty air side and a separate clean air side to help ensure long-term reliability of critical electronics. With an IP23 rating, it is designed to withstand harsh outdoor environments — up to 60-degree driving rain. Ergonomically designed handles are built to withstand mechanical hoisting, and double-bend, 14-ga. steel side panels protect the unit against collisions and drops.
All controls are located on the front panel, including the power switch. The protected knobs are designed for use when wearing gloves.
