Air amplifiers are CE-compliant

Exair Corp. has announced that its air amplifiers have attained the CE mark. To earn the mark, the amplifiers must be certified by an independent laboratory that they meet the European Union’s safety, health, and environmental standards. These amplifiers move large volumes of air for transporting smoke, fumes, or light materials, as well as for venting, cooling, drying, and cleaning.

Using no electricity or moving parts, the air amplifiers transform a small amount of compressed air into a high-volume, high-velocity output that is as much as 25 times their consumption rate. The patented design maintains a constant, high-velocity outlet flow across the entire cross-sectional area. Output is adjusted easily, says the company, and both the vacuum and discharge ends can be ducted. The air amplifiers are available in aluminum and corrosion-resistant stainless steel.
