OPC server retrieves production data from shop floor

FANUC FA America has introduced FASOPC for retrieval of CNC machine production data. The OPC server is designed for getting machine production data out of a FANUC CNC and off the shop floor.

The server is designed for communicating with FOCAS-enabled FANUC CNCs to read and write data. The configuration utility's intuitive user interface uses wizards to guide the user through the processes of setting up controls. Once a control type is identified, data relevant only to that control type is presented to the user.
