Magnetic-base drill makes holes through 2-in.-thick steel

Trick-Tools has announced the release of its Fein JHM Short Slugger magnetic drill. It features an electromagnetic base that secures it to the material being drilled. Annular cutters, which drill only the perimeter of the hole and eject the slug, allow this model to drill up to 1.1875-in. holes through up to 2-in.-thick steel.

Features include a through-spindle cooling system with detachable coolant bottle, right- or left-side handle placement, and an illuminated control panel. The 22-lb. drill comes with a heavy-duty storage case.
