Cleaning kit restores metalworking surfaces

Madison Chemical has introduced the ReStore Kit, a combination of several of its cleaning and surface preparation products that are suitable for metalworking cleaning, surface preparation, and passivation applications.

The multiproduct kit comes in one box that contains 1 gal. of AquaBlue™ general-purpose multimetal surface cleaner, 1 gal. of TreadBrite ™ foam acidic cleaner for multimetals including stainless steel, 1 gal. of CR-120N nitric acid cleaner for passivation of stainless steel, a 2-lb. container of Jel Terge powdered viscosity enhancer/gel builder, and detailed instructions.

The kit allows users to clean, etch, remove surface oxides, and prepare a variety of metal surfaces. Suitable applications include fabricated metal surfaces, especially for postweld cleanup on L series stainless, cleaning of an exposed metal edge that has been aggravated by CO2 laser cutting, and cleaning of stainless steel surfaces damaged by cutting oils and metalworking fluids.
