Color-coded convolute wheels provide increased throughput

Norton | Saint-Gobain Abrasives has introduced a general-purpose category of Rapid Finish nonwoven convolute wheels. Heavy deburring and final finishing wheel categories will soon be introduced, all color-coded for quick, accurate selection.

A new fiber and high-temperature resin bond system in the wheels helps decrease wheel changes, with up to 30 percent longer life, and provides smear-free finishes. An improved grain/bond configuration increases throughput with a 30 percent faster finish, states the manufacturer.

New fiberglass cores help improve concentricity, reduce truing time, eliminate wear on wet applications, and elevate operator comfort, says the company.
