Custom-made brushes automate tube-end deburring

August 8, 2006

Weiler Corp. offers custom-made brushes in a range of sizes suitable for tube-end deburring.

The brushes allow users to automate the tube-end deburring process and improve user safety, assembly consistency, and process stability and lower production costs, the company reports. Because the tube rotates as it is conveyed between the two brushes, the entire circumference of the edges is brushed. The position of the brushes is adjustable, as well as the tube feed rate.

Wide-face brushes are available in diameters from 6 to 16 in., with arbor holes from 1 to 3 in., and a maximum face width of 30 in.
