Direct-drive belt grinder travels at 5,400 SFPM
The model BG260 belt grinder from Kalamazoo Industries is a heavy-duty, direct-drive unit with an 8- by 2-in. belt and an 8-in. contact wheel with a clear right side for inside corner shaping. The 5,400-SFPM belt speed delivers quick metal removal with minimal heat.
The grinder features a 2- by 12- by ½-in. reversible platen, one-knob tracking, a 2- by 3-in. dual-purpose worktable for the contact wheel and the top platen, spring-loaded belt tension, and quick belt change. The 3-HP, 3,450-RPM motor is available for 110/220 single-phase or 220/440 three-phase operation.
The grinder is available as a bench model or with heavy-duty steel legs and an optional dust collector.
