Flap discs designed for fillet weld applications

POLIFAN®-Curve flap discs from Pferd Inc., designed for fillet weld applications, go from rough grinding to smooth finishing in a single step. This single tool allows weld seams and slag to be removed, leaving a finish smooth enough for identification of cracks, inclusions, and porosity in the fillet during weld inspections.

The disc has three usable working surfaces—top face, bottom face, and radial edge—rather than a single surface. It is available in diameters of 4.5, 5, 6, and 7 in. and in zirconia, A/O, and ceramic-oxide abrasives.
