Flap disks conform to curved, irregular surfaces

Weiler’s Big Cat™ abrasive flap disks are designed with a thickness and large flap size to conform to curved and irregular surfaces. Multiple layers of coated abrasive material expose sharp, fresh grains as they slowly wear away. According to the company, the disks last 30 to 40 percent longer than standard flap disks.

Typical applications for the high-density Type 27 disks include weld blending, grinding, deburring, deflashing, stock removal, surface finishing and blending, and edge chamfering.

The flap disks are available in both 4-1/2- and 7-in. sizes, with or without a 5/8-in.-11 nut. The phenolic-backed disks are available in both aluminum oxide and zirconium.
