Hex-drive tools enable 360-degree deburring, cleaning

Abtex Hex Drive™ tools are designed for use in semiautomatic and fully automatic machinery, including CNC and in-machine deburring stations, as well as robotic machine tools. The hex-drive system holds the brush rigid on the spindle, allowing the tools to be turned in both directions for 360-degree deburring, cleaning, edge radiusing, polishing, and general surface finishing.

The tools are available in diameters of 2, 3, 4, and 5 in., with a choice of four grits. Two arbors are offered: 0.25 in. for brushes up to 4 in. dia., and 0.375 in. for 5-in. brushes.

Abrasive filaments are heat-stabilized nylon, coextruded with an abrasive grit and mounted to a proprietary resin backing. Hex-drive brushes also are available with ceramic fiber.
