Industrial lubricant protects ferrous parts in indoor storage

July 10, 2007

ITW ROCOL® North America's Rustlick 631 is a thin-film, moisture-displacing, penetrating lubricant and rust preventive. Intended for long-term protection of ferrous parts with indoor storage, the lubricant spreads into scratches and pores to displace moisture.

Rust protection can last up to two years with indoor storage. To clean metal surfaces after storage, operators can use a heavy-duty detergent cleaner or other degreaser. Cleaners are more effective when used at increased temperatures or with increased pressure or agitation, the company reports.

The lubricant is designed to be used as received and not diluted with other materials. It is suitable for all metals and is available in 12-oz. aerosol cans and 1-, 5-, and 55-gallon containers.
