Rotary drum coater designed for heavy, complex-geometry workpieces

Walther Trowal has introduced the R80 Rotamat for coating of mass-produced small parts. With a drum diameter of 31.5 in. and a usable volume of 13 gal., the machine can accommodate 110-lb. batches, making it suitable for coating metal parts with complex geometries or heavy weight.

The machine features an optimized fresh air inlet and a modular filter system up to filter class F6. It offers flexibility to use different paints and allows users to employ more solvent to speed up the coating process while remaining within ATEX limits.

Overspray has been minimized, and the new heat control helps reduce cycle times and energy consumption, the company states.
