Rust remover adds corrosion protection

Cortec Corp.’s VpCI®-426 is a water-based, heavy-duty descaler/rust remover enhanced with Nano-VpCI®. Available in liquid, powder, and gel form, the rust remover is designed to remove corrosion, scale, and naturally occurring oxides from iron, carbon and stainless steel, copper, aluminum, magnesium, and their alloys.

The product is nonpolluting when compared to other industrial products, reducing or eliminating nearly all waste disposal issues, the company states.

The rust remover brightens magnesium and aluminum, leaving a shiny surface that provides long-term corrosion protection. The water-based liquid also removes calcium carbonate and sulfate.
