Sanding machine sands corners, tight areas, captures dust, contaminants

October 14, 2008

Dynabrade Inc.has introduced the Vacuum Dynafine detail sander, which can sand into corners and tight areas, as well as capture dust and contaminants. The air-powered finishing sander is suitable for use on metal, wood, carbon fiber, fiberglass, and composites.

Running at 13,000 RPM, the tool features a 1/32-in.-dia. orbital pattern. The tool is available in either a self-generated vacuum model or a central vacuum model for connection to an external central vacuum system. As the tool is sanding, it diverts dust, debris, and contaminants—including hexavalent chromium—to an external vacuum source.

Vinyl and hook-face sanding pads are available in teardrop, triangular, and round shapes for use with PSA and hook face abrasives.
