Spindle lock simplifies accessory changes on die grinder - TheFabricator.com

Metabo Corp. offers the GE950 G Plus high-torque die grinder. It features a spindle lock that helps simplify accessory changes using a single wrench. Delivering speeds from 2,500 to 8,700 RPM, it handles polishing and graining, sanding, deburring, edge finishing, beveling, and cutting of metal.

Features include an 8.5-amp LongLife motor, 950 W of power, a rated load of 7,200 RPM, and 27 in.-lbs. of torque. The hardened and ground 0.25-in. collet helps ensure accurate balance and minimized accessory runout.

Motor protection features include thermal overload protection, electronic speed stabilization, and an electronic soft start. An electronic safety cutoff protects the operator if the tool binds or snags. A side handle contributes to operator control during sanding and finishing applications.
