Trimmable flap disks designed for extended working life

CGW-Camel Grinding Wheels has introduced trimmable Z3 flap disks. The disk backing is designed to trim down to expose flaps for extended working life, allowing for fewer disk changes.
The flap disks have a hybrid compact flap design that compresses and compacts flaps at a 4-degree angle for additional edge strength and 20 percent more material than regular Z3 flap disks, the company claims.
Manufactured from zirconia alumina grain and a polyester and cotton flap backing, the disks are recommended for heavy-duty use. They are available in 4.5- and 5-in. diameters, with 0.875-in. arbor holes and 40-, 60-, and 80-grit sizes.
