Video demonstrates graffiti-removal system for metal panels

PPG Industries’ industrial coatings business has produced a new video introducing DURANAR® GR (graffiti-resistant) and CORAFLON® GR factory-applied clear coats. When combined with the company’s DURAPREP® Prep 400 field-applied graffiti remover, the coatings create a graffiti-resistant architectural coating system.

The 4-min. video, posted on the company’s website, describes how metal panels with the factory-applied clear coats provide a graffiti-resistant barrier that protects the pigmented color layer of the panel. It then demonstrates how the graffiti remover eradicates spray paint, pen and marker ink, lipstick, scuff marks, tape residue, bugs, and tar, restoring the panels to their original luster.

DURANAR GR coatings are available in low and medium glosses; CORAFLON GR coatings are for high-gloss applications.
