Stud welding systems use single-phase plugs

HBS has introduced two drawn-arc stud welding systems with single-phase plugs.

According to the manufacturer, the Visar 650 is the first stud welding machine that can use a one-phase mains connection of 230 V instead of the 400 V previously required to perform drawn-arc stud welding of diameters up to 0.31 in. A three-phase, high-power current no longer is necessary. The lightweight, hermetically sealed device features a built-in digital signal processor.

The Pegasar 500 accu allows mobile stud welding with capacitor discharge for diameters up to 0.24 in. The capacitors are completely decoupled from the battery during welding, allowing for constant welding capacity. Through battery operation, the device is independent of mains voltage and mains connections. Built-in hybrid technology also allows the device to be operated using a 230-V plug socket.
