Tonnage monitor works with most press machines

Helm Instrument has introduced the PTM-4500 LoadGard tonnage monitor. It accepts input from up to six frame or in-die-mounted strain-gauge sensors.

The monitor can be used with most press machines, including hydraulic, thermoforming, die cast, injection molding, and forging. Built-in alarms help prevent machine damage, while high-low limits protect tooling and help maintain consistent part quality.

Features include an embedded PC, signature display on color touchscreen, job recipe storage, SPC charting, and Ethernet connection. The user can receive an e-mail alert when an alarm condition occurs and can view the plant floor from any browser in any location.
