Measuring arm offers wireless option

The Romer Absolute Arm with integrated laser scanner from Hexagon Metrology offers an acquisition speed of up to 50,000 points per sec. This enables users to move the scanner over the measurement object quickly while achieving high-quality data, even on difficult-to-scan surfaces, the company states.

An optional wireless scanning pack allows any arm with an integrated scanner to be operated completely wirelessly at the same data transmission speed as with a traditional cable. The pack includes a dual battery system that charges one battery continuously while the other is in use.

The portable CMM is designed for both tactile and noncontact, 3-D measurement.
