User interface simplifies 3-D laser tracker adjustment

Hexagon Metrology has released the Leica Absolute Tracker AT402 laser tracker. The portable 3-D tracker can be used for fully guided 3-D measurement processes, as well as traditional inspection tasks. It is suitable for large-volume, precision-measurement applications performed by such industries as aerospace, power generation, heavy equipment, and other manufacturers that produce large components and assemblies.

The all-in-one design integrates IR remote control, environmental monitoring, level to gravity, and a built-in WiFi connection for wireless operation. The tracker carries a certified IP54 rating. Its PowerLock technology automatically finds and locks onto any moving reflector within a field of view of 1 sq. m at a 5-m distance.
