Plasma cutting system has built-in air compressor
Hobart Welding Products has introduced the AirForce™250ci portable plasma cutting system. Featuring a built-in air compressor, the system weighs 27 lbs., half the weight of the company's previous model.
The system, powered by a 115-VAC household current, can cut 1/8-in. mild steel and sever ¼-in. steel. It allows cutting with an arc up to 3/16 in. long.
The unit includes a 16.4-ft. HP-25 torch, replacement tips and electrodes, and a cable management strap for transportation. Rated at 12-amp output, the system has a 35-percent duty cycle.
