Multiple-use earplugs provide attenuation for low levels of hazardous noise

Howard Leight's Clarity® multiple-use earplugs are designed to block hazardous noise while allowing voice and signal frequencies to be heard more naturally. Using Bilsom® Technology's patented Sound Management Technology™ (SMT), the earplug provides uniform attenuation that blocks low- and medium-frequency noise while enhancing the perception of higher voice and warning signal frequencies without distortion, says the company.

The earplug incorporates a multimaterial design and a translucent stem with an SMT membrane to regulate the transmission of sound frequencies through the earplug and ear canal. Its FlexiFirm™ core facilitates insertion, and a quadruple SoftFlange® seal helps ensure proper fit. The plug's 21-dB NRR provides suitable attenuation for workers exposed to low levels of hazardous noise and minimizes the risk of overprotection in marginal-noise environments.

The plug is available in two sizes—regular and small. A corded version includes an attached cord adjuster that allows workers to modify the woven cord's length to their preference or application requirements.

Applications include transportation, light manufacturing, warehousing, laboratories, and other work environments with low levels of hazardous or nuisance noise.
